Kilrush is member-run parkland outside the town — a different test and a different price bracket from the links. From Doonbeg village to Kilrush is about 25–30 minutes; from the Killimer ferry it is roughly 20 km to Doonbeg per local directions on doonbeg.info.
Third round — Kilkee or Spanish Point
- Kilkee Golf Club — a nine-hole course on the cliffs, about 20 minutes west of Kilrush.
- Spanish Point — north on the N67 toward Lahinch (~30 minutes from Doonbeg).
Ferry, food and non-golf
